Well, lads, its happening. As I'm really interested in blogging, and actually and possibly making something out of it, I've decided to move to a Wordpress world. It means, that my blog will probably change a lot in coming weeks, but I hope you'll love it at the end.
I will start with a question of course - did anyone successfully moved from Blogger to the own-hosted blog? How was it done? How all the data is preserved? Is it hard?
I would be very appreciative for any information.
Thanks a bunch.
Alex.

I've known people who've done it (I moved to Wordpress from Blogger but that was before I had a lot of info there) and were able to transfer everything they had. Wordpress I think has tools for it.

I know about the import tool, just wanted to know how well it works, and whether it would move all the comments and labels.
Thanks anyway
I went from Blogger -> Wordpress -> Pyblosxom
The first time I lost all the comments, the second time I was smarter and knew how to get my comments out of Wordpress.
I wrote more about that here:
First move
Second move

Why Pyblosxom?
